Huanui Close.

A short stroll from the beach this two-storey home by Franklin Architectural Design overcame many resource consent hurdles to get out of the ground. Now complete and standing proud the exterior showcases a mix of claddings, textures and colours with Linea Oblique, Cedar and an Integra lightweight system.

On the ground floor adjacent to the double garage are two bedrooms, the laundry, a bathroom and a family room.

A central staircase features decorative timber slats which carry through both levels, creating lovely filtered light in this space. The stairs are also lit with glass pendants and LED strip lighting.

The master bedroom and main living areas are located upstairs to make the most of the views and all-day sun, with a generous north-facing covered deck off the living, dining and kitchen. A feature gas fireplace is encased with Muros concrete panelling, with a study nook tucked behind to one side.

Flooring is a mixture of warm timber laminate and carpet, with tiled flooring in the bathrooms.

The guest powder room has a fun wallpaper feature wall, while the master ensuite is extensively tiled and adorned with gunmetal tap ware. Both bathrooms feature circular mirrors above wood-grained vanities.

Accolades.
